MAIYA REDDING: Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Maiya attended The Chicago Academy for the Arts and went on to Graduate Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase with her BFA in dance. In July 2016 she received "The Innovative Choreographer Award" for her piece "Thou Art Loosed" hosted by Ballet Inc and in April 2018 she choreographed for SUNY Purchases "Spring Festival" where she worked closely with he freshman class in the Dance Conservatory.

JOSHUA SCARLETT: Joshua David Scarlett is a New York based actor. He began acting in his teens and attended SUNY Purchase where he earned two degrees - one in theatre performance and another in playwriting and screenwriting. Joshua can be seen on television via his co-star roles on I, WITNESS, UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, HOUSE OF CARDS, and most recently LAW & ORDER: SVU. Theatrically, he has performed in WALK HARD at the Metropolitan Playhouse, A FEW GOOD MEN at The Gallery Players, and Hip to Hip Theatre Co.’s repertory productions of MEASURE FOR MEASURE and HENRY IV PART 1. Joshua is currently attending the graduate acting program at NYU Tisch.

CAMILLE UPSHAW: Camille is a proud Detroit native, who now resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is an actress, writer, teaching artist, and a mentor for youth with incarcerated parents. On her free time you can catch her in the kitchen creating new recipes, dancing with friends, or catering to her house plants. She is a lady who loves poetry, art, music, sketch comedy, and family history. She hopes to inspire women all over the world, especially young black women. Continue to be on the look out for her!

NADEGE MATTEIS: Nadege Matteis hails from Queens New York and graduated with her bra in acting from SUNY Purchases Acting Conservatory. Her recent credits include: “JoJo” in The Hunting Season Planet Connections Festival, “Maria” and “Pamela” in Conch Shell Production’s Hear Her Call Festival. The Public Theatre’s “Julius Caesar”. Up next you can catch her in “The Ritual” at The New Perspectives Theatre. “With our potential, storytelling abilities, and abundance of knowledge, why wait when we can create."

KEVIS HILLOCKS: Kevis Hillocks is a Brooklyn, New York native. Off Broadway: X or Betty Shabazz v. the Nation (The Acting Company). Regional/touring: Julius Caesar (The Acting Company). International theatre: Ruined (Greek Festival ’16). Other New York and regional theatre: Pass Over (Luna Stage), Pirira (Luna Stage), College Colors (Crossroads Theatre), Morning Sun (Theatre 167), Thoughts of a Colored Man (Noisy Tenants), King Lear (The Public). TV: Blue Bloods. Film: Pebble Beach (Theeobc). Training: Ted Sluburski Studios- Scene Study, Acting Conservatory (BFA), SUNY Purchase College.


MALIK REED: Malik Reed hails from the east side of Detroit, MI. He can best be described as an actor, poet, mover, and just all around artist. He is so grateful to be working with Sunflower Soul Productions. During this time of creative unity he plans to create art that shakes the gut, moves the soul, and speaks the truth. Keep up with Malik and his journey!

LAUREN WALKER: Lauren F. Walker is the founder of Creators of Color Collective. She is a New York based actress and community activist from Washington, DC with a mission to build a strong, productive as working community of artists of color. She makes a point to inspire love, truth and light into everything she does. You can catch her grinding and creating everyday of the week all in service of God, art and community.

LOGAN PEDON: Born in Columbus, Ohio Logan Pedon is a freelance dancer and choreographer currently living in New York City. After graduating with a BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase where he had the opportunity to learn and perform works by Ori Flomin, Shannon Gillen, the Limon company, Madboots Dance, Alexandra Becker and Cornfield Dance. Currently living in Harlem, Logan is currently working for Cornfield Dance, Christopher Williams and the Althea Dance Company

At SunflowerSol Productions we are captivated by the arts, and through our journey have discovered that having an artistic outlet created a pathway to express our thoughts, creativity, and imagination. With a host of DPs, AD's, Talent, and director on standby, Sunflowersol Productions provides equipment, time, creativity, and the encouragement to continue to grow as artists individually as well as collectively.
